Kale with Ham, Garlic and Onion
serves 4
Ingredients
- 3 lb kale, washed, stemmed, chopped
- 3 T butter
- 6 oz smoked ham, 1/4-inch dice
- 1 1/2 C onion, thinly sliced
- 6 cl garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 C chicken broth
Instructions
- Slightly brown the ham in 3 T of butter, then add the onion and garlic. Simmer until the onion is softened.
- Add the broth, bring to a boil, then add the kale, reduce and simmer until kale is tender.
- Plate and serve.
